Synopsis

THE MUD PACK PART 2 - HEART OF STEEL; FEET OF CLAY? At night, Lia, best known as Looker, is having a nightmare, but she feels she can control it. Unfortunately, the nightmare is stronger and soon, she finds herself trapped by tentacles of mud, drowning her in a pool of clay. She wakes up at the sound of her telephone ringing and still sleepy and frustrated, she picks up the phone and talks to a very inquisitive Batman; who asks her about her visit to Clayface III earlier that day in Arkham Asylum. Looker has no idea what Batman is talking about as she has never met the villain and she explains that only one other person could adopt her appearance: Lady Clay. Batman decides to do some background research on the villain, but first, he takes a quick detour to stop some crooks.  Meanwhile, Basil Karlo and Lady Clay are discussing their next step. Although Karlo admires her abilities, Lady Clay tells him about the hardships of her life after she was created. Forced to adopt other people's identities, Lady Clay took advantage of her powers until she realized her life was empty. Looking for some company, she learned about the original Clayface and that's how they formed an alliance. Now, Lady Clay wants to go for the Batman kill, but Karlo wants to take advantage of the situation first. When Clayface III recovers, Lady Clay is forced to become Looker in order to manipulate his emotions and force him to do their bidding once again.  In the Batcave, Batman finds the computer files on Lady Clay, but there is not enough information about her. However, Batman makes a connection between her and Clayface III and investigates the original Clayface, who has just been released from prison. Moments later, Clayface III attacks an armored car transporting money to a bank and many officers and security guards move in to stop the criminal. However, they all stop at the sight of Batman dropping from the sky, but much to their surprise, the Dark Knight attacks them and helps Clayface III steal the money.   As this happens, Batman talks with Commissioner Gordon at the GCPD Headquarters and he tells him about his suspicions about the many Clayfaces working together. Gordon is skeptical, but when Lieutenant Kitch informs him about the sighting of a crooked Batman, Gordon starts to believe the story. Although Gordon wants to place a police report clearing Batman's name, the Dark Knight wants to play along with the clay team's plan and let them soil his name. After all, Batman is used to getting on the bad side of the media.   The Mud Pack is reunited at their hideout and Karlo learns of his partners' recent encounter with Batman. The Dark Knight's intrusion and Clayface III's instability forces Karlo to hasten his plan to eliminate Batman. The next night, Batman reads the newspapers, looking for clues and ignoring the headlines that blame him for turning to crime. Batman finds an advertisement for a casino and he knows what the Mud Pack's next target will be.   True to Batman's prediction, Clayface III and Lady Clay, disguised as Batman, arrive at the casino and Batman gets there shortly after to stop them. Using some of his Utility Belt gadgets, Batman stuns Lady Clay and fights Clayface III, knocking him unconscious. While Batman looks for Payne's exo-suit power source, he listens to a familiar voice from behind talking to him and he turns around to find a shocking surprise.
